Our History
In 1978, five community organizations established Valley Care Association as a nonprofit corporation to fill the gaps in services for seniors in the Sewickley Valley. We spent the early years developing a 128-bed nursing home and the Valley Care Adult Day Services program. As the residential care industry changed, Valley Care looked at how to best serve the community. In 1999, the Board of Trustees decided to sell the nursing home to the Masons, who went on to develop the Masonic Village at Sewickley, a continuing care retirement community. Today, Valley Care Association's dedicated staff continues its legacy of providing the highest quality of care.
